Shanghai, China.
The first stage is to build an independent amd relatively comprehensive industrial and economic system by 1980. The second will be to turn China into a powerful socialist country with modern agriculture, industry, national defense, and science amd technology by tge end of the century, that is, within the next 25 years. The entire Party and nation must strive for the attainment of this great objective. This constitutes the overall national interest.

A time traveller lands in what he believes is an international worlds fair. Across a sprawling complex there are many booths, for mamy countries. But to his suprise, this is the beginning of something bigger. It is the beginning of the People’s Republic of China’s China International Import Expo (CIIE).
Across the complex housed in Shanghai, China. There are delegations from from over 130 plus countries, and 3000 foriegn companies. Everything looks so contemporary. Our traveller then makes his way to the speech hall.
There stands the president of the country, Xi Jinping. An older gentleman. Wise eyes, a black suit, amd black slicked back hair. He begins the event by speaking. He stresses many points.
He says that China must remain open. That the globe must fight against economic protectionism. As is the modern policy of the United States of America. He openly defends the global free-market. Charmingly, he defends international growth.
Stating that this is important for the “global community”. He also highlights how China will remain an “open door”. That through this not only China, but the whole world will share a bright future. He ends the speech by stressing that China is over 5000 years old. That China is here to stay.
